Our Values

At Walk the Talk, we understand that for those with speech and language needs, the years might not fly by... they take their time. That is why we strive to help those requiring our support and help them to achieve their communication goals, whether big or small! We are a private company offering high quality speech and language therapy services, working closely with our clients, their families and carers to help them maximise their communication potential. We believe all individuals should have the opportunity to communicate to the best of their ability, which is at the heart of our work. We assess each person's needs holistically and design our treatment plans according to the unique needs of that individual. The goals, aspirations and expectations of the person and their family are at the centre of everything that we do.

Meet the Founder

Reema Khera completed a Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy at the University of Essex in 2016. She has gained vast experience working with children and adults who exhibit a wide range of communication disorders arising from a neurological impairment and/or a developmental condition. She has also worked in a private clinic in Harley street, working closely with family members, carers and other healthcare professionals to provide high quality assessment and therapy plans for her clients. She has completed specialist courses in Child Development in Canada, as part of supporting children with phonological impairments and specific language disorders.

In addition to working with children, Reema is currently managing a community caseload within the NHS, supporting adults with communication and/or swallowing impairments. Reema’s ethos involves supporting individuals and their families through life-changing experiences; harnessing a good rapport with them whilst educating on the benefits of speech and language therapy. She continues to work in the NHS alongside her private role to enhance her clinical experience, and maintaining the required standards of care at all times.

Reema is able to visit clients at home, across various different settings, and also provides teletherapy services where appropriate. She also offers group therapy sessions for individuals looking to practice their communication skills with other clients exhibiting similar conditions.

Reema is registered with, and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is also a full member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), who set out professional standards to follow and provide professional and medical liability insurance.

What our clients say

We feel honoured to support all of our clients and welcome feedback at any stage of the therapy process.

' We contacted various companies for an initial assessment for my daughter who has cerebral palsy and complex needs affecting her speech and swallowing. I cannot recommend Reema enough. She had the skills, experience and patience to support my daughter who started to make progress after 12 weeks of therapy. We learned so much from her and I would definitely recommend her services in future.'
 - Susan P. (Aylesbury)

' After my husband's stroke we were left with what felt like no hope due to long waits within the NHS. Walk the Talk were phenomenal from the initial assessment stage right throughout therapy. We were well informed during each stage of therapy and have seen positive results. Thank you so much.'
- Anonymous.

' My son who has Autism has had several therapists in the past to support with social communication difficulties as part of his EHC plan. I must say, we have struggled to find someone to engage him in therapy, but Reema was quick to turn this around. She provided us with functional strategies to use with him at home and in school which we will always be grateful for.'
